Made of a delicate mix of earth, fire, and magic. This hand manipulated, wheel thrown stoneware vase has been glazed through a raku firing process with oxygen reduction - meaning it was removed from the kiln at temperatures over 1900 degrees fahrenheit, immediately introduced to combustibles and then placed in an airtight environment while aflame. As the oxygen was burned out of it’s airtight chamber the vase's mirror like qualities began to emerge. Vibrant red and green poppy blossom with mirrored gold reduction effect in green areas.
